PIPE FABRICATION
Every business develops a skill or niche that in essence becomes their core. At the very core of our business is pipe fabrication.
Fabrication for in-house projects was the original task of our pipe fabrication shop until 1996, when we began performing pipe fabrication directly for external customers such as end-users and other general contractors. Today, this accounts for 90% of the fabrication in our shop.
In 2005, we opened a new facility on 80 acres just north of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The facility has since been expanded and today stands at 37,000 square feet while averaging a 40-person crew able to fabricate up to 1,500 spools per month. We take pride in being a service-oriented fabricator, working with our clients to meet their requirements on price, time and quality. By understanding the realities of installation from three decades of in-depth field experience, we can fabricate accordingly, ultimately making it easier for our customers during installation and start-up of their projects.
Trade also has a great deal of experience in modular fabrication. A “module” consists of fabricated piping affixed to a structure at our facility, which is then shipped as a unit and bolted or welded together on the jobsite. This type of construction allows for a large portion of the work to take place in a controlled environment thereby reducing the downtime, cost and/or exposure for projects.
We maintain a Quality Assurance team that is responsible for guaranteeing that we exceed our clients’ expectations with regard to quality as well as an on-time delivery. The team, using detailed procedures and work processes, ensures that we achieve compliance with ASME, ASNT, API and any client customary specifications. Every spool is checked for dimensional accuracy and weld quality by a Certified Welding Inspector prior to shipment from our facility. Our high standard of quality is maintained through the selection and utilization of highly qualified personnel. Trade is committed to improvement in quality, safety, and training programs.
In essence, we are able to fabricate for simple, very routine jobs as well as complex and large scale jobs. We are able to mass produce, and also accommodate the smaller, more unique fabrication jobs. We believe that our clients would say that our pipe fabrication abilities, our diligence toward detail and our attention to quality are what make us unique within the pipe fabrication business.
